At the conclusion of the race there will be fun and festivities in Tranquility Park.

Awards:
10K First Male and Female 10K winners(in each category), win a Gold Medal.
Second and Third place Male and Female 10K placers (in each age category), receive Silver and Bronze Medals.
Age group categories include (19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 plus).
You must wear a chip to be timed and eligible to receive a 10K award.
All participants are eligible to receive a t-shirt and participation medals!
Chip Timing:
The 10K will be chip timed. All chips must be returned at the end of the event, or pay a $30 fee.

Safety/Water Aid:
Course is on flat, concrete-surfaced city streets. Insurance requirements prohibit roller blades, skates, strollers, baby joggers or pets from the runs. Strollers and baby joggers may be used in the walks only. Water will be provided by WaterMill Express at the start/finish line and along the course. The Houston Medical Response Group will assist in providing medical assistance as needed.
Sanctioning:
The race is fully sanctioned and certified by USA Track & Field - TX04001ETM.
Parking:
Parking is available race day at Theatre District Public Parking Garages. Please check back for updated parking information.
Race Day Photos:
Photographs from the 2008 Houston Homeless Run will be taken by the Karen Thibideaus group and will be found on the Your Sporting Image website. Race day photos will also be available for purchase on the site.
