Meet The Board of Directors
D. Michele Grant-King is currently the Operations Director of My Fellow Man. Mrs. King ensures MFM activites and outreach efforts go off without a hitch. She received her B.A. in Communications from Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida and is currently pursing a Master of Divinity from Emory University's Candler School of Theology. A modern day Renaissance woman, who lives her purpose to the fullest as an Empowerment Speaker, Consultant and Minister of the Word of God. She is the Lead Consultant of The D1 Group, a full service PR Concierge and the Founder/Chief Visionary Officer of The Me First Movement, which is a Full Scale Educational Empowerment Movement- specializing in enhancing the Self-Esteem and Self-Efficacy of Adolescent and Young Adult Females via Leadership, Life Skills, Etiquette, Communication Skills, and College and Career Readiness.
Shelia M. Pruitt
Shelia M. Pruitt is a native of Atlanta and was educated in the City of Atlanta Public Schools. She attended both the University of Georgia and Georgia State University, obtaining her degree in Journalism and Public Relations. Ms. Pruitt began her career in radio and television broadcasting with local stations where her energetic personality shone through. She later made a career pivot to transportation logistics where she also excelled in connecting and communicating with others. Ms. Pruitt enjoys volunteering with youth and seniors alike, planning educational events for all ages, and serving the community with her church. Her other interests include the sciences, horses, dogs, travel, and music.
Ora Mims Howell
Ora Mims Howell, Vice President of Electrical Applications, is a career educator and librarian. She has over 30 years of experience in elementary and secondary instruction as a teacher and tutor. A native of Atlanta, she is an alumna of Spelman University, Georgia State University, and Clark Atlanta University. Mrs. Howell also served as a crisis intervention counselor and caregiver throughout her professional career. After retiring from the classroom, she has served as an advisor to the boards of DeKalb County 4-H, Warren Technical High School, and board member of My Fellow Man. Never one to slow down, Mrs. Howell began a third career as an entrepreneur with her husband, Jarvis Howell. She is also a member of Springfield Baptist Church and enjoys reading, cooking, and dancing in her spare time.
Senior Inspector Wellington Clarke is an Atlanta native and graduate of West Fulton High School. He was a former deputy with the Dauphin County Sheriff Department, Harrisburg Pennsylvania. His career with the City of Atlanta began in 2004 with the Parking Enforcement Unit where he was a supervisor for that department. Mr. Clarke came to the Atlanta Police Department in 2009 as a Crime Scene Tech and has been an Atlanta Police Department Crime Prevention Inspector since 2009. He was promoted to Senior Crime Prevention Inspector in the fall of 2015 Inspector Clarke has served as a Inspector in several Zones throughout the city and presently assigned to Zone 4. Senior Inspector Clarke is a Crime Prevention Specialist certified by the American Crime Prevention Institute (ACPI). He is excited to be a Board Member with My Fellow Man and is looking forward to working with various communities and reaching out giving a helping hand.
